Greyton Village Market

Where the village and its weekend visitors get together every Saturday morning.

The market

It started as a stall selling excess produce.

The Greyton Village Market began in the late 1970s as a stall selling excess produce from local farms. It is now the place where the village and its weekend visitors get together every Saturday morning from 09:00 to 12:00 to enjoy the market vibe, drink some coffee, browse the stalls, and support the local stall holders. Stall holders typically live in the Overberg area and make or produce the products they sell. They pay a small fee to the conservation society which is used to fund some of the society’s various programmes and the maintenance of the market.

How a stall works

Make what you sell

Stall holders sell their own products, grown, baked, brewed or made by hand.

Live in the Overberg

The market is for people of this region rather than for resellers passing through.

A small fee

Fees go towards the society’s programmes and the upkeep of the market itself.
